The Buffalo Niagara Sports Commission, Buffalo RiverWorks, and the World Table Hockey Association collaborate to host Table Hockey Festival, Exhibition and Tournament Championships, November 22-24, 2019.
The World Table Hockey Association selected Buffalo, NY to host its annual Table Hockey Festival, Exhibition, and (Tournament) Championships for the next three years, 2019-21.
Festival includes:
- 22 Nov., Friday Night Charity Event & Exhibition
- 23 Nov., Saturday Exhibition, Tournament & Playoffs (lower tier players)
- 24 Nov., Sunday, Exhibition and Playoff Championships (upper tier players)
Featured tournament-level table hockey games and manufacturers includes:

He also staged one of the largest table hockey tournaments in the last decade held in Buffalo, New York. It boasted 64 players, five tournaments on three different manufacturer's games (Stiga, SoHo Pro and Classic, and SuperChexx AKA "bubble hockey"), with a Friday night social with guest appearance by Don Luce, Buffalo Sabres alumnus, and Adam Page, three time ParaOlympic Sled Hockey Champion.
All of which was made possible by the Buffalo-Niagara Sports Commission; Buffalo RiverWorks (venue); Innovative Concepts in Entertainment (ICE) makers of SuperChexx; Len Mecca, Rod Warriors Table Hockey; Carlo Bossio, Canada Table Hockey; and John Fayolle, Owner of SoHo Tournament Table Hockey games.
Greg founded the WTHA to help revive a dying industry, as numerous manufacturers have gone out of business over the decades, to promote table hockey as a competitive sport, and bring together the hockey community, which includes and is not limited to promoting all table hockey manufacturers, artists, craftsmen, event operators, players, collectors, and more.
All of which contributed to defining the WTHA's mission to “educate, develop, preserve and promote table hockey."
So, there is bubble hockey though?
Yes! What many people refer to as, “Bubble Hockey,” is marketed by Innovative Concepts in Entertainment (ICE), Inc., as “SuperChexx.” ICE Inc., is partnering with the WTHA for this event.

How do I register for tournament?
Our plan is that registration open this Saturday, 10 AM, at a reduced price. Full price will start likely October 1st. We have a few minor details to get decisions on in order to open our online registration, but expect to go live this Saturday.

What will be the prizes for these tournaments? Will there be sponsors?
The current plan for prizes include prizes (trophies, medals or plaques and cash) for the tournament, those who finish in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. But, there will also be modest random prizes to both spectators and players. A gift bag for players. Also, items for raffle and silent auction. That could be autographed NHL jerseys, a free sandwich, or ? We are working on that.
