Monroe Classic II Table Hockey Tournament
Monroe, New York
Date and Time: 10 A.M., Saturday, October 27th, 2018
Dr. Lou Marinoff is hosting his second table hockey tournament, the Monroe Classic II. This is a great opportunity to play against some of the region’s top players from Quebec, New York, and New Jersey.
Face-Off: 10 a.m. sharp.
Place: Fellowship Hall, First Presbyterian Church of Monroe, 142 Stage Rd, Monroe, NY 10950 The Fellowship Hall is located behind the church. Free parking in the lot.
Board: All games will be played on SOHO (modern Coleco) 5380 tables, using NTHL rules.
Cost:
- By October 20th: $35 US or $45 Canadian, via Paypal to Lou Marinoff, marinoff@frontiernet.net
- After October 27th: $40 US or $50 Canadian, via Paypal or cash at the door
Food: Lunch is included.
Directions: Take US 87 South (from Canada) or US 87 North (from NY or NJ) to exit 16, Harriman. Proceed through tolls and continue on route 6 & 17 West for 3 miles, to exit 130, Monroe. Follow your GPS to the church, located in Monroe village.
Where to stay: If you are staying overnight on Friday or Saturday night, recommended accommodations are: — Hampton Inn, 60 Center Drive, Central Valley, NY — Holiday Inn Express, 2 Bryle Place, Chester, NY — Comfort Inn & Suites, 20 Hatfield Lane, Goshen, NY– Many similar options in Newburgh, NY, exit 17 off US 87, 17 miles from Monroe –NOT recommended: James Motel, Monroe, NY
Attractions and restaurants: The Woodbury Premium Outlets are just 3 miles from Monroe. Your wife or girlfriend will love shopping there while you play table hockey. There are many excellent and affordable restaurants in the area, including American, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, and Mexican. Email Lou for specific advice.
